A group of five hardy Molonglo Water Dragons made their way to Broulee over the Canberra day long weekend to do the Broulee Bay to Breakers Ocean swim.  This was no organised team effort, just a group of like-minded swimmers interested in swimming in the ocean, safe in the knowledge (hope?) that the organisers had scared away all the sharks in the area.  It was a beautiful day, the sea was calm and the water was warm.  All our swimmers finished in good time (and no sharks!).  The only problem was that two of our swimmers arrived at the finish line at the same time as a set of large waves rolled in and got thoroughly dumped, several times.  Not the easiest way to finish a 1.4km swim by any means.  Nevertheless we all survived, had some fun, and will probably be back again next year. Molonglo Water Dragons are a hardy lot!
