Good times made at recent Intercub

Image of someone wearing a Masters swimming swim capSunday 4 June saw 47 swimmers from the three ACT clubs along with visitors from Penrith and Newcastle entering the three hour swim meet. Held at the Lakeside Leisure Centre the meet was hosted by Tuggeranong Vikings. Due no doubt to the cold weather and winter ills only 38 of the 47 competed.

Vikings had the biggest team with 19 (12 women and 7 men), Ginninderra who swim at CISAC had 5 (2 women, 2 men and a non-member woman) while the Molonglo Water Dragons fielded the second biggest team with 12 (9 men and 3 women). The visitors were Lesley Doran of Novocastrian Club (Newcastle) aand Stephen De Lorenzo of Penrith. Stephen is the coach at the Thredbo Leisure Centre.

Numbers won the day with Tuggeranong winning the overall and Women’s point scores, while Molonglo won the Men’s point score and came second overall.
